It’s been awhile that I haven’t updated my blog. It’s not that we went to a vacation. But we have started to go on duty in the hospital. We started December 8 and in the first day of our duty the intensity and fear slightly devoured me. But yet again the courage and strong experience in my internship helped to have a good and smooth flow of work in my area assigned.

I’m assigned in a floor where the rooms are private. And having 25 rooms and each has 1 bed. The most patients which I had handle in each day shift is 8-10 patients. But I’m blessed with good staffs in the area and other helpful comrades which even made me comfortable in working.

I’m sorry if I haven’t posted or update my blog for this reason. But need not worry I will find time to really share my experiences and thoughts in my hospital wing.

Today is the 5th year and 9 month anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Sound. But sad to say, we can’t celebrate today because I have to pick up my aunt at the airport and I’m gonna be the one to drive her around the city wherever and whenever she wants to go. Mr. Sound is once again a home boy for I guess 11 days. I’m quite sure he’s gonna gain a little more weight because he’s gonna be like sleeping, eating, and working at his computer all day, unless he’s not lazy to exercise.

Anyway, since we can’t celebrate today, we celebrated yesterday. We just ate lunch at Imay’s and strolled around the newly renovated Amigo Plaza Mall. We bumped into a new store Econnections(I think), they were selling Naruto action figures and some techno gizmo stuffs. As you all know, Mr. Sound is collecting Naruto action figures, he was so thrilled and excited as he saw the big Naruto action figure. He wanted to buy it but I disagreed. It was expensive, 720php. After living the store he was so agitated and having cold clammy skin just trying to resist the urge to buy that naruto action figure. He’s so funny coz’ his reaction is like a child.

5yr 9months at Imays

We just went to another mall (marymart) and play at the arcade section. Mr.Sound tried to win me a “stuff toy” in one of the catcher game. But he failed six times (such a loser.LOL). Around 3 in the afternoon we decided to go home and the date. Because I need to prepare the car for today’s arrival of my aunt.

Last night while I was surfing the Internet some of the keys of my keyboard doesn’t function anymore. It got me pissed off because of course I’m gonna buy a new keyboard again.

This afternoon, I went to Mall (SM City) to buy a new keyboard in Octagon. There were plenty of keyboards to choose from. But then, they were all expensive. The only one that was cheaper was the one that I bought (and the one that I’m currently using now while I’m writing this blog). You want to know how much is this? It’s 295 php!

On my way out at the store, I saw my good friend Catherine. She was alone and she was strolling around coz she was bored at their house and got nothing to do. So we strolled around the mall having some few chats. We talked about some of our batch mates’ way back in college. She told me that one of our classmates Caren is already in Saudi Arabia. And that she was also planning to apply there.

Here are the requirements she gave me from the POEA: Self made bio-data with detailed job description, 6 pcs. 2×2 picture, certificate of employment, PRC card, board rating, board certificate, high school and college diploma, transcript of record, certificate of live birth, training or seminar attended.

The good thing in applying to Saudi Arabia is that there’s no exam (IELTS, NCLEX, etc.) and experience needed. I think the salary ranges between 30,000-44,000 php monthly. It’s a good thing to start a nursing career, right? Hhmmm…that got me interested. What do you think?

At first I lost track of what day today is. And my friend Tope, told me that it’s Tuesday today. And yes it’s the day of the week that One Tree Hill is aired. So I use the net (I’m not from US and CW isn’t available here, I just watch through streaming online) to check surfthechannel.com if they have uploaded the links for One Tree Hills’ season 6 episode 11.. And lucky me they have. So I excitedly opened it and I was amazed that I was the very first to watch this episode through surfchannel.

The episode was entitled “We Three (My Echo, My Shadow, and Me) this was written by One Tree Hill star Chad Murray (Lucas). The Story was giving tribute to the classic movies were Karen’s Cafe, was turned into a nightclub and Lucas as the running it. And yes almost all of the characters are present here. Nathan was the bartender in Karen’s Cafe and was later on became a Marine when he and Haley was having a thing. While Haley was the singer/performer and Skills was the pianist in Karen’s Cafe. Mouth as usual is a reporter and Brooke is what she is on the series the hot ex-girlfriend of Lucas with problems in men and money(she got real problems here with Dan). Dan Scott, a dark and selfish person. Dan was like a mafia goodfather, he runs Tree Hill City, killed Kieth (just story told). While the new guy which Julian (just appeared on the previous 2 episode and Peyton ex-boyfriend) is the right hand of Dan. And Peyton was a girl taken cared of by Dan. Dan made a promise to Peyton’s mom that he will take care of her.

The story goes as Lucas dreamed about what the classic movie he saw in the television right after talking to Peyton on the phone. In his dream there is no change in his motives towards Dan Scott. It was to bring him down. Specially that Lucas, later on found out that Dan, killed Kieth. And in Lucas, last encounter with Dan, there were gun shots and blood shed that occurred; ending it when Dan accidentally shot Peyton after being tackled Skills. Lucas then dashing to reach Peyton and holds her, in his hands and the last words that came out of Peyton’s mouth was “I Love You”.

Lucas was awakened by the ringing of his phone and to his relief that it was Peyton. Lucas then says to his pretty girl “Don’t leave me”. and surely Peyton answers “I won’t”. And then the episode ending scene was transfered to Trick to were Peyton then was in excruciating pain in her right side of the abdomen after the call to Lucas. What is wrong with Peyton? Is this critical or life threatening? Is this due to over fatigue in work? Or is this what Eli (Peyton’s Biological mom) fears the most. Let’s wait and see next week.

scenes in the last part of the episode

Recently announced in the news about the winter solstice that would affect us here in the Philippines. Yeah, we will be expecting cold weather. But it turns out that today. I need to turn my air-con on for me to get that cold breeze in the air.

I’m here in my room right now getting ready to start working for my client in the web. And it seems like I don’t want to go out coz’ my room is the only place where I feel cool(thanks air-con tech). I sure hope that tomorrow won’t be as hot as today. Coz’ the electric bill cost high now a days.

I’ll just listen to Imago’s, “Rain Song”, and hope that would change the clouds color to gray and pour down the rain. Or should I accompany the rain song with the rain dance? LOL!

I, Mr. Sound and Mrs. Sound, decided to take up nursing for the purpose and passion to care. We were both moved by series of events in our lives. On my part was seeing my very close aunt battling with cancer up until her last breath. There wasn’t much to do but for palliative care and just reducing the pain. I was there alright. I was even there when she said that her time is up. A very touching moment indeed. Seeing a very close loved one suffering like that and I was just hopeless and don’t know anything to do. So up from that moment on, I said to myself I will be a nurse. A nurse who would care for others, no matter what race, gender, relative or not. I will help them alleviate from their pain and make them feel comfortable as much as possible.

It was the year 2007 when we graduated from our Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and at the same year took the board examination to get a license to practice as a nurse. And with just one take I passed the Nursing Licensure Exam. And here I am now, a fully registered nurse. And by the end of year 2k9 I’ll be working in the hospital.

We created this blog for the soul purpose to share to everyone what we know, including recent updates about health and some health sharing stuff. But the core is our day to day experience in the hospital. And what is happening to the life of a coupled nurse including what’s in the four walls when they are not on duty.
